Monte Carlo Resort & Casino to sponsor Michael McDowell in Las Vegas

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (February 25, 2010) - Monte Carlo Resort & Casino announced today that it has entered into a one-race primary sponsorship agreement with MacDonald Motorsports and driver Michael McDowell for this weekend's 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series Sam's Town 300. The Four Diamond resort will be the preferred Las Vegas partner for McDowell, the driver of the No. 81 Dodge, and his crew throughout the weekend.

McDowell, who has emerged as one of NASCAR's top young racers, is currently in his second full season in the Nationwide Series. He successfully overcame a lack of sponsorship in 2009, competing in 34 of the 35 Nationwide Series races, and finished an impressive 13th in the final point standings. He is fresh off of a 21st-place finish at Auto Club Speedway (CA) after having to utilize a backup car.

"Our program at MacDonald Motorsports is headed in the right direction and the willingness of Monte Carlo to come on board with us this weekend is proof of that," said McDowell. "Las Vegas is always one of the best stops in NASCAR and I look forward to putting on a show in our Monte Carlo Dodge."

This weekend, McDowell's No. 81 Dodge will feature the Monte Carlo logo on the front hood, the driver's and passenger's side panels as well as the hood of the trunk. McDowell also has created "Text MC81 to 37160" displays for the side panels and rear of the car specifically for the television viewers.
