Hamilton Jr. Drives to a 28th Place Finish

In the Dover 200 at Dover International Speedway, Bobby Hamilton Jr. fought for a 28th place finish in the AAAutoWarranty.com Dodge.

“We had an H20guage go bad, and rather than destroying a high dollar motor, we cam down pit road.  We added water to the radiator and went 8 laps down,” said David Ingram, crew chief for the #81 team.

Their troubles would not end there. Hamilton Jr. continued to scratch and claw for every position, working his way to 25th.  A late race tire issue would eventually end any progression forward.

“Late in the race, we had a tire issue.  Overall, it was a bad day,” Ingram said.

The team is looking for a better day this weekend at Kansas Speedway for the Kansas Lottery 300.  Patrick Sheltra will drive, and the race will air on ESPN 2 at 3:00 pm EST.
